Done for an art test at Stoic Studio stoicstudio.com/ for their awesome fantasy viking game The Banner Saga.
Didn´t make it to the finals, but learned a helluva lot while painting it (2,5 days of work, didn´t know about the contest sooner).
Parts of the design are taken from the game, the rest is inspired by the game visuals and the art of the great Eyvind Earle.
